Una farà anche il cambio di stagione a notte fonda, rischiando un epitaffio alternativo stile “seppellita viva da pile e pile di vestiti nella cabina armadio, colpo mortale inferto da unintero scatolone di espadrillas crollato in testa ad un’ora non più precisata della notte”, ma è solo quando ti trovi davvero con i piedi in acqua, i principi dell’inevitabile prima ustione di stagione sulle spalle e chili di granelli di sabbia nella borsa che capisci che l’inverno è davvero volato ed è già ora di dire “Welcome Summer”.
E’ quello che mi è accaduto lo scorso weekend, ponte lungo del Primo Maggio a Ibiza, in realtà un compleanno prolungato per tre giorni, tra pool parties, brunch in spiaggia, grigliate di carne in aperta campagna e grigliate di pesce in riva al mare, vecchi e nuovi amici e più che un assaggio di estate piena.

Divertimento e relax sono state le parole d’ordine del weekend (ndr. per chi ancora vivesse con lo stereotipo “Ibiza=rave parties + drag queens + techno house music 24h/24h”…ecco, esiste una versione di Ibiza decisamente più “soft”..). Modalità “vacanza” al 100%.
Di posticini da segnalarvi ce ne sarebbero tanti. Iniziamo però con i primi due:
Experimental Beach Club
Stessi proprietari dell’ Experimental di Parigi e New York. Qui in versione “beach”, dalla colazione al tramonto, e anche per cena e dopo cena.
Vista impagabile, lettini in spiaggia, pranzo, cena, anche lezioni di yoga su prenotazione per chi vuole. E ovviamente l’aperitivo al tramonto, con gli imperdibili cocktail che hanno fatto la fama dei cugini metropolitani, ottimi anche in versione analcolica (della mia Granita con mango e ananas me ne sarei fatta ben più che un bicchiere).

Altro must, ideale soprattutto per una giornata letteralmente “spiaggiati” in riva al mare (consiglio: prenotate sempre i lettini in anticipo per non rischiare di finire a boccheggiare in ultima fila o ancora peggio essere spediti nella spiaggia libera!), inframezzata da centrifugati, sandwich o un vero e proprio pranzo (la cucina è ottima, la prova costume a seguire però è messa a dura prova). Guardare le foto, intanto, per credere.

Well, you can even do the change of season in your wardrobe late at night, risking an epitaph such as “buried alived under heaps of clothes in her closet room, kiss of death coming from a whole box of espadrillas shoes on her head at an undefined hour in the night”, but it’s only when you are really with your feet in the water, the begginings of the unavoidable first sunburn of the season on your shoulders and thousands of sand grains in your bag that you understand winter really flies quickly and it’s already time to say “Welcome Summer”.
That’s what happened to me last weekend, First of May in Ibiza, actually a birthday prolonged for three days, with pool parties, beach brunch, barbeque in open countryside and grilled seafood by the sea, old and new friends and more than a preview of full summer.
Fun and relax were the keywords of the weekend (btq, for those who already live with the stereotype “Ibiza=rave parties + drag queens + techno house music 24h/24h”…well, there’s a version of Ibiza which is actually more “soft”…)
There would be a lot of good travel tips to share with you. Let’s start the first two ones:
Experimental Beach Club
Same owner of the Experimental of Paris and New York. Here in “beach” version, from breakfast till sunset, and even for dinner and after dinner.
Priceless view, sunbeds, lunch, dinner, even yoga lesson with advanced booking if you wish. An, of course, the sunset with the unmissable cocktails that made the fame of its metropolitan cousins, great even in the analcholic version (I bet I could have drunk way more than a glass of my “Granita” with fresh mango and pineapple)
El Chiringuito, Es Cavallet
Another must, suggested especially if you wish to spend your day literally laying down by the sea (tip: always book in advance your sunbeds, if you don’t want to risk to end up grasping in the last row or, even worse, being redirected to the free beach aside!), breaking with fruit smoothies, club sandwiches or a full and proper lunch (food is great here, wearing your bikini afterwards a little more pleasant). Look at the pictures, by now, and believe me.
Shall I say that as soon as I finish to work I just make a quick visit to Skyscanner website and book another weekend?!
